Society is on the brink of one of the greatest transformations in human history. We are on the cusp of moving from the Gilded Age of Medicine (where providers and patients have focused on drugs and surgery) and transitioning to the Golden Age of Health where people are seeking (and finding) healing and wholeness.
People everywhere – patients and health professionals – are beginning to realize that not only are drugs and surgery NOT the panacea we were sold, but, actually, many of the causes TO our health problems. The Old Medical Economy, what we pejoratively refer to as the Matrix of Modern Medicine, only perpetuates old ideas, mindsets, and beliefs.
The New Health Economy is based on a true, free market, where no one – person, organization, group, or government – controls the system.
The New Health Economy allows individuals, as owners, to make their own decisions because, as owners, they own their own time and work. It also affords and allows patients better quality – of both life and care. In fact, the New Health Economy actually allows (and requires) Patients to own their own health.
This new economy has been developing for some time and it’s here to stay, mainly because it’s outside the system of “conventional” medicine and healthcare, and that’s good.
Unfortunately, what many call “healthcare” is little more than “sick care” that only perpetuates sickness and makes matters worse.
This is far from “alternative medicine.”
Yes, the New Health Economy offers a true alternative to the allopathic morass that has become so prominent since the mid-20th Century. Allopathic care, is important so far as it allowed us to figured out how to “numb the pain” (drugs) and “put the body back together” (surgery). While it may be conventional care, it is not “traditional” care and we should stop calling it that.
What does the New Health Economy look like?
- A true, free market, where no one controls the “system”
- Individuals, as “owners,” make their own decisions (both patients and professionals)
- Health Professionals must think of themselves first (“patients over profits” is a false rallying cry and will be discussed in future posts.)
- A developing ecosystem where health professionals do not have to feel like Lone Rangers
- It is outside the “system” (the system = Matrix of Modern Medicine, which includes, amongst others and is beyond the control of the, pharmaceutical and insurance companies)
- It is NOT “alternative medicine.”
- Yes, it is a real alternative to the Matrix of Modern Medicine
- It is not “sick care.”
- It is about helping the body heal itself.
Whether you are ready or not, the New Health Economy is upon us and the Old Medical Economy, or Matrix of Modern Medicine, is collapsing before our very eyes. You just have to know where to look.
This great transformation from the Gilded Age of Medicine to the Golden Age of Health is upon us. And it’s coming sooner than most think. (The reality, is that it’s already here.)
